2.5 BBL Psycho Brew

The system includes:

TWO 2.5 BBL (~100 gallons) boil kettles
ONE 2.5 BBL mash tun, including the false bottom & sparge arm
Burner Stand
Two stainless kettle lids
70 plate wort chiller
Mash “chugger” pump

***PLEASE NOTE — the mash tun isn’t pictured but is included. I’ll get a picture of that item in the listing soon but it’s identical to the kettles except without the whirlpool arm (and of course has a false bottom and sparge arm internally)***

The two-burner (with both burners upgraded to full strength) burner top for the two boil kettles is propane burning (it can be converted to natural gas). The burner top includes the full control panel, pilot lights and computerized safety. I also have a collection of spare parts for the burner controls that I will include in the sale.

The burner system includes a computerized control for a “RIMS” system, where the burner will automatically kick on and off during a recirculation mash. (You would need to purchase a basic and cheap temperature probe.)

The system can be used either with the mash tun and one kettle on the stand, or (as we used it), the mash tun on the ground and the two burner kettles on the burners.

The system is entirely US built. The system was well cared for, and works as good as new because of the quality construction from Psycho Brew. We hand cleaned every kettle and part between every brew, and annually passivated the stainless as well. Chris at Psycho Brew has been incredibly helpful with any questions and ordering any parts for expansion or small process changes. It’s a great system and very manageable to use, I’m selling because we did finally purchase a larger system that fits our demand better.

This does not include a hot water source. You can either get a tankless hot water heater like we use (~$800-$1,000 last I checked) or find a brewery HLT (“hot liquor tank”). I can help the buyer select the right item for the job here.

You will also need a small handful of valves and hoses, I’m happy to help you select these items as well, this wouldn’t be a significant investment on your part.

This three-vessel + burner system would sell new for ~$23,000-$25,000.
